Creative Challenge

Pangea confronted us with a digital challange that we haven't done before. Thinking further than a website and expanding the brand experience into a whole digital ecosystems. A place for visitors and music lovers to go deeper. But Pangeas festival experience is far more than music. In a diverse landscape of music, culture, sports and play we needed to shape a digital platform that will guide the festival into the future.

The Web Experience

In multiple strategic and creative workshops we defined what a future proof website should be. Together we crafted a system that was easily adaptable from year to year and would speak a unique design language that separates Pangea from the festival landscape. Each year a bespoke motion and color theme is implemented into the experience. With frictionless adjustments and a strong CMS as the backbone we are able to react quickly and beautifully to the rising content challenges each year.

The App Experience

The highlight for us was developing a standalone app for festival attendees. It was designed to replace the traditional booklet and large timetable boards on the festival grounds. Visitors could save their activities and favorite musicians, creating their own personalized timetable. Reminders and push notifications served as prompts to ensure they don't miss their workshops. Additionally, the digital map provided an overview of your location even offline on the grounds.

Let's recap our work

This project required a diverse set of skills from us. Starting with numerous workshops with the client, we gained valuable insights into what goes on behind the scenes to provide a fantastic festival experience for more than 15,000 people. A lot of technological exploration went into the creation of platform, starting from a strong CMS that can handle thousands of concurrent requests all the way to an intuitive and user-centred app experience that just works.
